I just realized !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . So it is time! If you read earlier I was looking for a tow vehicle, got that figured out too!

But anyways! Now I'm getting my first big boy car (something reasonable, unlike all the E30's I've ever owned.) Looking at B7 A4 Avants! Found a few, but I'm really specific and picky when it comes to these things so I'm hunting everywhere for one. Preferably Brilliant Red, Delphin Grey, or whatever Audi calls their black. And a stick of course. It's just so exciting! The goal eventually is to put it on bags.

We've got an '08 B6 Passat Wagon new in '08. I can't say enough about it, great car. The 2.0 Turbo and 6 spd manual make it a joy to drive. Snow tires make up for the missing AWD, if that's a requirement on your list. Nice and heavy so it's very predictable in the snow. Had to replace the high pressure fuel pump this year, the car's only problem for us.

Where are you located? If in new england area you can definitely check ours out. Nothing super special but the seats are very comfortable (and heated), and the factory stereo is very replaceable ;)

I live in Minnesota now and I'm moving to Utah in the fall, but I've managed with FWD and RWD only all winter in Minnesota no problem, but AWD would be nice. I've heard nothing but praise about the B7, pretty reliable and decent performance.

For what it's worth, it's my wife's daily and I taught her how to drive 3 pedals on this car. Even with n00b clutch abuse it's almost to 90K and still on the OE clutch and front brakes. Had to replace the rear pads at 55K, heard most people with those need to do rears at 35-40K. (must have had a good teacher!) The clutch still feels very good.

I'm partial to the B8s but all are auto only :( The B7s are nice just male sure they have a good maintenance history, they can be a drain if stuff goes bad. Welcome to the Avant sickness. :D

There's a 2009 B8 Avant for sale here, only 14k. Lots of miles to make up for the price though.

I do like them, but they are too expensive for the years that I like.
